Retraction Policy
CHARUVIDHYA is committed to maintaining the highest standards of integrity, transparency, and ethical practice in scholarly publishing. Retraction is considered an exceptional measure applied when a published article contains serious errors, ethical violations, or evidence of misconduct that compromises its validity or reliability.
This policy follows established ethical publishing standards and aims to protect the integrity of the scholarly record while maintaining the trust of authors, reviewers, and readers.
Grounds for Retraction
An article may be retracted when significant concerns arise that undermine the credibility or ethical compliance of the work.
- Scientific misconduct: Fabrication, falsification, or plagiarism
- Serious errors: Methodological or analytical flaws affecting conclusions
- Duplicate publication: Unauthorized or redundant publication
- Ethical violations: Lack of approvals or informed consent
- Undeclared conflicts of interest: Affecting interpretation of results
- Peer review manipulation: Interference in review process
Retraction Procedure
Identification of Concerns
Concerns may be raised by authors, reviewers, editors, readers, or institutions. All cases are investigated objectively and confidentially, and may involve consultation with independent experts where necessary.
Communication with Authors
Authors will be informed of the concerns and provided an opportunity to respond. If no response is received within a reasonable timeframe, or if the response is insufficient, the editorial team will proceed based on available evidence.
Editorial Decision
If retraction is deemed necessary, the editor will authorize a formal retraction notice. In cases where issues do not invalidate the findings, a correction or corrigendum may be issued instead.
Retraction Notice and Article Status
Retraction notices will be clearly identified and published alongside the original article. The notice will provide the reason for retraction and reference the original publication.
Retracted articles will remain accessible in the journal archive but will be clearly marked as “Retracted” across all formats and indexing platforms to ensure transparency.
Consequences for Authors
In cases involving serious ethical violations or misconduct, the journal may take additional actions to maintain academic integrity.
- Notify the authors’ affiliated institutions or authorities
- Restrict or prohibit future submissions depending on severity
Transparency and Ethical Commitment
Retraction is not intended as a punitive measure but as a corrective mechanism to preserve the accuracy of the scholarly record. The journal is committed to fairness, transparency, and due process while ensuring that readers have access to reliable scientific information.
